Palnadu: Prime minister Narendra Modi insulted the TDP chief Narendra Modi in an oblique manner at the TDP-JSP-BJP’s first public meeting titled ‘Prajagalam’ at Chilakaluripet of Palnadu district on Sunday.
PM Modi, who started his speech in Telugu, recalled the contribution of the TDP founder and former chief minister NTR and said the former chief minister emulated the teachings of Ram. He fought for the rights and welfare of the poor and farmers. The Centre released a commemorative coin on the centenary year of Late NT Rama Rao. The Congress troubled the Telugu leader during those days, the prime minister said.
“Yesterday, the poll schedule was announced and today, I came to Andhra Pradesh. In order to develop India and Andhra Pradesh, we need to cross the 400 seats mark in the upcoming elections,” PM Modi told the gathering.
Earlier, TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu addressed the ‘Prajagalam’ rally and hoped that NDA will win the forthcoming elections in Andhra Pradesh. He lauded the Prime Minister Narendra Modi's efforts for putting the country on the development track.
“Modi means welfare, Modi means development. Modi is not a person but a power which is transforming the country into a world leader. Both TDP and Jana Sena joined the NDA fold to ensure the welfare of the 5 crore people of the Telugu state,” TDP leader said.
