VIJAYAWADA: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS  Jagan Mohan Reddy will visit Sri Durga Malleswara Swamy Devasthanam at Indrakeeladri and offer pattu vasthrams (silk robes) at 3 PM, to Goddess  Durga on Mula Nakshatram day on Tuesday.

The Chief Minister who is currently on tour to Tirumala presented pattu vasthrams to Lord Venkateswara Swamy during the Garuda Seva at the annual Brahmotsavams being held atop the hill shrine.

YS Jagan Mohan Reddy along with a few  Ministers, MPs, and other public representatives, will visit the Kanaka Durga temple at 3 pm, where he will present the silk robes to  Goddess Durga Devi. Officials from Endowments, Police and Revenue Departments and from the Vijayawada Municipal Corporation (VMC) have made elaborate arrangements for the Chief Minister’s visit to Indrakeeladri. The deity is adorned as Sri Saraswathi Devi Alankaram on the sixth day of the Dasara festival, the temple authorities said.

No VIP visits or darshanam will be allowed from 1 pm to 4 pm for the devotees.

Chief Minister YS Jagan will also inaugurate an augmented reality show of Goddess Kanaka Durga and showcasing history at the Durga temple located as part of the Dasara festivities for the devotee.

Endowments department officials are setting up nearly 20 augmented reality show boards with the latest technology, at the temple premises with QR codes to enable the devotees to scan it and download the nearly 30-second video.

Temple authorities have set up QR code boards on Indrakeeladri at the Ghat Road, Chinarajagopuram, and Malleshwara Swamy temples. Temple EE Bhaskar said that if one downloads the app 'Kanakadurga AR' and scans the code on the board, one can hear and see the history, audio, and video of the Goddess. It is also said to be entertaining and informative for young children.
