Roja's Reaction To Rumours of MLA Seat Denial
Tirumala: Andhra Pradesh minister RK Roja came down heavily on the opposition leaders and yellow media for spreading misinformation that she would not get renominated by the ruling YSRCP in the forthcoming assembly elections.
Speaking to reporters here on Tuesday after offering special prayers at Tirumala temple, the YSRCP MLA representing the Nagari Assembly constituency said some people are getting gratification by making misleading claims that the party would deny her ticket.
“I have always been at the forefront in the government programmes. I am a soldier of chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. I am ready to lay down my life for him. I will continue to support YS Jagan regardless of whether the party renominates me or not. I will play my part in achieving the why not 175 target in the 2024 assembly polls,” Roja told the media persons in the temple town.
Responding to a question on her candidature for the next Assembly elections, Roja said she would contest the upcoming assembly election, however, she will follow the suggestions of the party chief and chief minister YS Jagan. The YSRCP minister said she prayed for the chief minister’s return to power in Andhra Pradesh assembly elections.
