Huge Success of Siddham - Opposition Deeply Worried?

 - Sakshi Post

Ruling YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) got into a poll mode after the party president and chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy sounded a poll bugle at a mammoth public meeting of party cadres at Bheemili in Visakhapatnam on Saturday.

Unveiling the roadmap for the party cadre, CM YS Jagan exhorted them to work hard in the next 70 days to ensure clean sweep in the ensuing assembly and Lok Sabha elections

“Why cannot we win all 175 assembly seats and 25 Lok Sabha seats as we have brought revolutionary changes in educational, agricultural, health and medical and administrative sectors and implemented a slew of welfare schemes without bias and with transparency,” he asked.

The Bheemili rally described as Siddham by the party saw a huge turn out. The show of strength by the ruling YSRCP will surely give sleepless nights to the opposition parties as their alliance is already in doldrums. Chief minister Jagan Mohan Reddy has already ruled out the BJP and Congress as ‘insignificant’ parties in the elections. This leaves us with two other opposition political parties – TDP and Pawan Kalyan-led Jana Sena Party.

TDP forged a pre-poll alliance with the minnow Jana Sena while its leader Chandrababu Naidu was lodged in Rajahmundry central prison in the multi-crore Skill Development scam case. The leaders from both the parties held a couple of coordination meetings, however, recently all is not well in the opposition camp.

Accusing the TDP of announcing its party candidates from Araku and Mandapeta constituencies without consultation, Pawan Kalyan countered the TDP’s move by fielding its candidates from Rajanagaram and Razole constituencies which may further weaken the TDP-Jana Sena combine in the coming days.

Understandably, Pawan Kalyan is not happy with Naidu for taking unilateral decisions and not honouring the guidelines of the seat-sharing agreement. With the Assembly and Lok Sabha elections less than two months away, the opposition parties seem to be worried as the YS Jagan juggernaut has placed YSRCP in a prime position and the opposition’s divided house cannot withstand it.
