Higher Pension Scheme: Good News for APSRTC Employees

Amaravati: The Andhra Pradesh government has announced on Wednesday that APSRTC employees are also now eligible to apply for higher pension. The government has fulfilled the long overdue demand of the employees. 

With the new higher pension scheme, the RTC employees would get a 5-6 percent increase in  their pension. The Employees Pension Fund Organisation (EPFO) has released an Excel-based calculator for estimating due pensions on Higher Wages as they were not sure how much they would have to pay to become eligible for higher pension to receive a higher pension from the Employees Pension Scheme (EPS). The calculator will give you only a rough estimate of the dues that a member will have to pay either from their EPF balance or their own savings if required.
