Heavy Rains Bring Much-awaited Relief to People from Heatwave in Andhra Pradesh

Vijayawada: Heavy rains lashed several parts of Andhra Pradesh on Tuesday bringing much relief to the people from the scorching summer. The rains also brought down the temperatures in most parts of the state. 

The southwest monsoon entered the Telugu state through Raichur in Karnataka. Due to heavy rains, normal life came to a standstill in Vijayawada as several roads were waterlogged in the city. 

Guntur and NTR districts also received heavy rains on Tuesday afternoon while other places like Chittoor and East Godavari districts witnessed light to moderate rainfall. The IMD Amaravati has predicted more rains in the next few days.
