Guntur BTech Student Ramya's Family Meets AP CM YS Jagan
AMARAVATI: The family members of Ramya have called on Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy at camp office here on Thursday.
Ramya parents Jyoti and Venkat Rao along with their elder daughter Mounika have briefed the Chief Minister about the incident that happened to Ramya.
It may be recollected a third-year engineering student N Ramya was stabbed to death in broad daylight in Guntur city which had caused a widespread uproar in the town. The accused identified as Sasikrishna was caught within eight hours in the night by the Guntur police. The Chief Minister had immediately responded to the incident and extended condolences to the family of the victim.
He directed the officials concerned to take care of the victim's family and also announced an ex gratia payment of Rs 10 lakh to the kin of the victim along with a job and house site.
Home Minister Mekathoti Sucharitha and MLA Merugu Nagarjuna were present at the meeting.
