Got Aadhaar-related query? Send it along, we’ll be happy to answer

 - Sakshi Post

In a major relief to crores of people who may not have updated their Aadhaar ID card details, the government has extended the deadline by 3 months. According to a statement issued by Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI), the citizens could avail the free updation of Aadhaar facility till March 14, 2024. The previous deadline was December 14, 2024.

The citizens could update their Aadhaar details through myAadhaar portal for free of cost, however, they will have to shell out Rs 50 to get these details updated at the physical enrollment centres.

Citizens carrying Aadhaar cards issued 10 years ago need to revalidate their demographic details like name, date of birth, address etc. They will need to upload Proof of Identity and Proof of Address (PoI/PoA) documents on the portal.

To help our readers with all their queries around the Aadhaar card, its updation etc., under the  auspices of Sakshi, the Sakshi Business has decided to help you understand Aadhaar and why it’s important to update your Aadhaar card and more.
