Good News for Andhra Students, Sankranti Holidays Extended till Jan 22
Amaravati: Cheer up students, the Andhra Pradesh government has extended the Sankranti break for two days. The state government on Wednesday issued a memo stating that the Makar Sankranti vacations have been extended for another two days. The schools will now reopen on Monday, January 22, 2024.
In the memo, Suresh Kumar, Commissioner of School Education Department, said that following the requests from parents and teachers, the government has decided to extend the vacation for all Primary and High Schools in the state for additional two days ( January 19 and January 20, 2024).
Earlier, the schools in the State were closed for Sankranti festival for 10 days. The vacations began on January 9 and the holidays were supposed to end on Thursday, January 18, 2024.
