Former Tirupati Municipal Corporation Attender's Daughter-in-Law Dr Sirisha Now Mayor

TIRUPATI: A former attender in the Tirupati Municipal Corporation Munnayya's daughter-in-law Dr Sirisha was elected as the Mayor of the Tirupati Municipal Corporation, the same place where her father-in-law Munneyya worked as an attender six years ago.

Elections were held for the first time in Tirupati, which is now a Corporation. Munneyya retired six years ago as an attendant in the Revenue Department after thirty years of service. And now his daughter-in-law Dr Sirisha is the first Mayor of Tirupati.

Muneyya and his family members were overjoyed when they got the news that she was elected as mayor. Muneyya has two sons. The eldest son Dr. Munisekhar, who is Dr. Sirisha's husband, is the head of Vaishnavi Children's Hospital. While the youngest son, Tulsi Yadav is director of the Town Bank.

Sirisha was born in 1980 in Korrapadu, YSR Kadapa district. She completed her MBBS from Tirupati SV Medical College and graduated from Kuppam PES Medical College in 2011 with a degree in DGO. Sirisha worked for some time as a gynaecologist at Ashalata Test Tube Baby Centre in Tirupati. After marrying Munisekhar, she also joined him in extending her services in the children's hospital.
