Every Fisherman Received Rs 50,000 Under YSR Matsyakara Bharosa Scheme : CM YS Jagan
Amaravati: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy released the fifth tranche of YSR Matsyakara Bharosa funds in a public meeting at Nizampatnam in Bapatla district on Tuesday.
The Chief Minister credited a relief package of Rs 231 crore directly into the bank accounts of 1,23,519 fishermen families with the click of a button.
The Chief Minister YS Jagan tweeted that the State government has deposited Rs 50,000 in the bank account of each fisherman. Under the YSR Matsyakara Bharosa scheme, the YSRCP government has given this amount to fishermen families as compensation for the loss of livelihood during the 61-day annual fishing ban in the State.
“Our government has provided financial assistance under YSR Matsyakara Bharosa to the fishermen families affected by the annual fishing ban. Within five years of introduction of this scheme, the government provided compensation in five installments and has disbursed a total of Rs 50,000 to each fisherman,” CM YS Jagan wrote in a tweet.
