Guntur: Suspense continues over the ‘disqualification’ of four rebel MLAs and MLCs of major political parties in Andhra Pradesh. Assembly speaker Tammineni Sitaram had sent ‘final’ notices to these members and asked them to attend the hearing on February 19, 2024, however, four rebel MLAs of the ruling YSR Congress party have expressed their inability to appear for the scheduled hearing.
In the state Assembly, Mekapati Chandrasekhar Reddy from Udayagiri, Vundavalli Sridevi from Tadikonda, Anam Ramanarayan Reddy from Venkatagiri and Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy from Nellore (rural) while in the state Council, MLCs C Ramachandraiah and Vamsi Krishna have defected from YSRCP.
Meanwhile, Anam Ramanarayan Reddy has reiterated that there is need to prove that the videos submitted by the petition to establish their defection are original. He also said he’s skipping the hearing and sending a representative for the hearing in the matter.
