 - Sakshi Post

Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy inaugurated the Veligonda Project Twin Tunnel on Wednesday. CM Jagan called it a proud moment, stating that the decades-old dream had come true. Meanwhile, CM Jagan dedicated the Veligonda Project to the nation on this auspicious occasion. After visiting the tunnel, CM Jagan said it is a milestone for the state. He expressed happiness for the completion of the magnificent project.

"Mahaneta YS Rajasekhar Reddy had laid the foundation stone for the Poola Venkata Subbaiah Veligonda project. I am proud to complete this project as his son. This is a script written by God. The drinking water problem of 15.25 lakh people will be solved. It is going to save the fluoride victims," CM Jagan said.

"With the Veligonda project, 4 lakh 47 thousand acres of drylands in Prakasam, Nellore and YSR Kadapa districts will be irrigated. Yerragondapalem, Darsi, Giddaluru, Udayagiri, Atmakuru, and Badvel constituencies will benefit. Previous Chandrababu Naidu's government was ignorant of completing the works. The majority of works of the tunnels were done by late YS Rajasekhar Reddy on a war-foot basis and the balance works were completed by our government at a brisk pace," CM Jagan added.
