CM YS Jagan Releases Rs.325 Crore for Jagananna Chedodu

Yemmiganur: Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy released Rs.325.02 crore under Jagananna Chedodu benefiting 3,25,020 Rajakas, Nayee Brahmins and tailors benefiting Rs.10,000 each. The amount would be directly credited into their bank accounts.
Addressing a huge public meeting before releasing the amount with the click of a button here on Thursday, the Chief Minister said that Government is implementing the programme aiming at empowerment of the BC communities financially as they are the backbone of the society.
In the last four years, Government has spent Rs.1252.52 crore under Jagananna Chedodu extending a total financial assistance of Rs.40,000 to 12,52,512 Rajakas, Nayee Brahmins and tailors each, he said.
Listing out the welfare schemes, the Chief Minister said that so far, Rs.2,38,000 crore has been disbursed under various DBT welfare schemes in full transparency and without any bias.
While the weaker sections were totally neglected during the TDP rule, the Government has been handholding the SCs, STs, BCs and minorities for the past 52 months and striving hard for their economic empowerment by ensuring that the benefits of welfare schemes reach every eligible person.
“Unlike the TDP which dumped its manifesto after coming to power, Jagananna Chedodu is being implemented with utmost commitment as per my promise during the Padayatra,” he said and added that Government wants to see that all weaker sections are economically empowered.
Listing out some of the welfare programmes which would help in the economic empowerment of the weaker sections, he said Government has so far incurred Rs. 19,178 crore under YSR Aasara, Rs.14,129 crore under YSR Cheyuta, Rs. 982 crore for Nethanna Nestham, Rs. 4969 crore on Sunna vaddi, Rs.1257 crore under EBC Nestham, Rs.2,956 crore for Jagananna Thodu, Rs.1302 crore under Vahana Mitra and Rs.538 crore for Matsyakara Bharosa.
In response to the appeal from the local MLA Chennakesava Reddy, the Chief Minister sanctioned Rs. 47 crore for the construction of high level bridge in the constituency.
BC Welfare Minister Ch. Venugopala Krishna, local MLA Chennakesava Reddy and District Collector G.Srijana and a host of senior officials and public representatives also participated in the programme.
