CM YS Jagan New Cabinet Ministers List on This Day
AMARAVATI: All 24 members of the Andhra Pradesh Council of Ministers will formally meet for the last time on April 7 and tender their resignation ahead of Cabinet reorganization on April 11 by Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. The new Council of Ministers will be inducted on April 11.
The fresh inductions and retentions will be on the basis of social justice with no other factor in play, sources noted.
Last month, the Chief Minister announced that he would undertake the Cabinet reorganization after Ugadi (Telugu New Year's Day that fell on April 2) and the subsequent formation of new districts. The new districts came into being on April 4, clearing the way for the Cabinet reshuffle.
YS Jagan after returning from his 2-day Delhi trip had met AP Governor Biswa Bhusan Harichandan at Raj Bhavan in Vijayawada on Wednesday, CM YS Jagan and briefed him about the new districts formed as part of the administrative decentralization. It is learned that the cabinet reshuffle was also discussed with the Governor on this occasion.
The CM also sought permission from the Governor for the creation of a new tribal district with Polavaram or Rampachodavaram as its headquarters. He also. He also invited the Governor to officiate the swearing-in ceremony and administer the Oath to the new ministers on April 11.
According to sources in the YSR Congress Party, the new cabinet will be formed giving due priority to social justice SC, ST, BC and minorities as done earlier. While the existing structure of the Council of Ministers would be retained, with five Deputy Chief Ministers in place.
