CM YS Jagan Lauds Officials as State Bags Six Awards in ODOP Category
Amaravati: Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy lauded the officials for bagging six awards from the Centre in One District One Product category (ODOP). The State won gold medals for Uppada sarees (Kakinda district) and Araku coffee (Alluri Seetaramaraju district), bronze medals for Pondur cotton and Kodumur Gadwal sarees and special jury awards for Madanapally silk and Mangalagiri handloom sarees.
The Centre has launched this award programme aiming at social and economic development by selecting one product from each district with a view to encourage them and provide branding through wide publicity.

The awards were presented to the officials of respective departments from Andhra Pradesh at a function in New Delhi recently. The officials called on the Chief Minister at the Secretariat here on Wednesday and explained about the awards.
IT and Industries Minister G. Amarnath, Principal Secretary (Commerce Handlooms) Sunita, Industries and Commerce Director MM Nayak and senior officials Peddiraju, Suresh Kumar, Dharma Rao, Hari Krishna, Srinivasa Reddy and Vanaja were among those who called on the Chief Minister.
