CM YS Jagan to Distribute Enhanced Pension Under YSR Pension Kanuka in Kakinada
Amaravati: Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy would visit Kakinada today where he would participate in a programme to distribute pensions among the beneficiaries.
According to the CMO release, the chief minister will leave his Tadepalli residence at 9.30 am on Wednesday and reach Kakinada. He will address a public meeting at Rangaraya Medical College grounds where he will distribute the increased pension amount to the beneficiaries.
Under YSR Pension Kanuka, over 66 lakh social pension beneficiaries in the state will receive an enhanced pension amount of Rs 3,000 from January 01, 2024 onwards. The YSR Pension Kanuka programme. The state government spending on the enhanced pension scheme is approximately 1,968 crore per year which is almost five times more than the expenditure on social benefit allocated by the previous government.
