CM YS Jagan to Conduct Bhumi Puja for Law University Next Month in Kurnool

Kurnool: Finance Minister Buggana Rajendranath announced that Rayalaseema is set to become a judicial capital with the upcoming establishment of the National Law University on 150 acres at Jagannatha Gattu in Kurnool. 

Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy will perform the Bhumi Puja ceremony in December, marking the initiation of this significant project. The Finance Minister directed officials to make necessary preparations for the event.

During an inspection of the lands allocated to Nannaya University on Sunday, the minister emphasized that the law university will open its doors to students from all states, providing them with an opportunity to study law.

CM YS Jagan is scheduled to lay the foundation stone for the project, with plans to enhance infrastructure, including roads. The minister is currently assessing suitable locations for a helipad to facilitate the Chief Minister's visit.

The recent cabinet meeting discussions included the allotment of 100 acres for the law university, with 50 acres having been previously allocated. The minister expressed satisfaction with the completion of the Roads and Buildings 3.5 crore road development project, spanning from the National Highway to IIITDM, contributing to the connectivity under the Panchayati Raj of the Judicial State to the Law University construction.

The Municipal Commissioner has been directed by the minister to undertake beautification works in the valley between Silver Jubilee, Cluster University, and Law University.

Roads and Building EE Visranta, AV Sridhar Reddy, Police Housing Corporation EE NirmalKumar, and AE Swamy Reddy participated in the inspection.
