CM Jagan sounds the poll bugle in Uravakonda of Anantapur district

‘The People of Andhra Pradesh Are My Star Campaigners, Don’t Need Anyone Else!’, says AP CM

'While Opposition Is Busy Stitching Alliances, Here I Am, Trying To Build A Temple In Your Hearts based on Good Governance', says YS Jagan

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy today once again walked the talk on his pledge to support Self Help Group (SHG) Women Communities. Demonstrating his dedication towards uplifting the women of Andhra Pradesh, the CM disbursed an impressive sum of Rs 6,394.83 crore directly into the bank accounts of 78,94,169 members belonging to close to 8 lakh SHGs. This significant financial assistance marks the fourth tranche of the transformative 'YSR Aasara' scheme, and was celebrated with a grand in Uravakonda in the heart of Anantapur district.

With the latest disbursement of Rs 6394 crore under the YSR Aasara scheme, the YSRCP government has not only fulfilled its commitment but also attained a significant milestone. Having already credited Rs 19,176 crore in three prior installments, the government's latest financial assistance clears the total outstanding dues of SHGs amounting to a substantial Rs 25,571 crore. This move stands in stark contrast to the unpaid dues left by the previous TDP government, showcasing the YSRCP administration's dedication to addressing the financial obligations of the households and supporting women across the state

Speaking to an enthusiastic gathering, CM Jagan said, "In the last 56 months of YSRCP governance, women's empowerment has been our topmost priority, with every welfare scheme tailored for the financial upliftment and empowerment of women."

The CM then highlighted the comprehensive advancements under the YSRCP governance including significant improvements in the quality of education, literacy rate, household income, and enhanced political representation for women. The Chief Minister emphasised, "The prosperity of women in a state or nation is a crucial factor in determining the progress of the entire region, and Andhra Pradesh has experienced this progress in the last 56 months."

Elaborating on his ideology to invest in human capital, CM Jagan revealed that the YSRCP government had successfully deposited a total of Rs 2.53 lakh crore into the bank accounts of women over the past 56 months. He declared, "In a record of sorts, the YSRCP government achieved the distribution of Rs 2.53 lakh crore through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) under various welfare schemes to eligible women beneficiaries in a transparent manner without any corruption."

Drawing parallels with the previous TDP government, the Chief Minister emphasised, "When Naidu was the Chief Minister, every department was corrupt whether it was determining the eligibility of beneficiaries or getting contracts, every department from Janma Bhoomi committees to the Chief Minister’s office was knee deep in corruption. But YSRCP is different. We are extending welfare benefits to all eligible women in the state, irrespective of their caste, creed, community, or political affiliation." CM Jagan called out Chandrababu Naidu for his deceptive promises to betray the trust of the people. He asserted, "In the 2014 elections, Chandrababu Naidu pledged to waive loans, only to conveniently backtrack upon securing victory. This betrayal has led to loans amounting to Rs 14,210 crores accumulating interest and compound interest, as the promised zero-interest program was shamelessly scrapped."

The Chief Minister also made a blistering attack on the opposition alliances in the state. He said, "The Opposition's agenda is merely to tie flags (stitch alliances) together. However, my agenda, your Jagan's agenda, is to construct a temple in the hearts of the people through unwavering good governance. The people of Andhra Pradesh, you are my true star campaigners! I need no one else!" The CM then appealed to the people of Andhra Pradesh to become his star campaigners and soldiers, reminding them, "Your vote is not only for making me the Chief Minister but also to uplift all poor families in the state out of poverty." He then urged the people to cast their votes for YSRCP only if they have witnessed progress and received benefits from YSRCP government in the last 56 months.

Distribution of financial assistance under ‘YSR Aasara’ will continue till February 5 in all constituencies
