Senior Telugu Desam Party leader and former minister, Ayyana Patrudu, is going to be the Speaker of the Andhra Pradesh Assembly. A decision has already been taken in this regard. Rajahmundry Rural MLA Gorantla Butchaiah Chaudary has been chosen as the Protem Speaker.

It has been assumed that the Jana Sena Party will get the Deputy Speaker's post. However, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu seems to be planning to deliver a twist.

It is believed that the TDP President wants to prioritize the other ally, the BJP, for the post of the Deputy Speaker. Sujana Chowdary of the BJP, who recently won as the MLA from Vijayawada West Assembly, has been considered.

Naidu feels that JSP has been given enough prominence. Pawan Kalyan is the Deputy Chief Minister and also has been given a few key portfolios. As such, the party can't expect the Deputy Speaker's post as well.

For now, JSP's hopefuls such as Lokam Madhavi, Bolisetty Srinivas and Bommidi Nayakar will have to wait and watch.
