Chandrababu, Stop Cheap Politics: Sajjala
Vijayawada:With elections looming in Andhra Pradesh, the ruling YSR Congress Party is gearing up to strengthen its party base. The ruling party is aiming to win all the 175 constituencies in the forthcoming elections.
In contrast, the opposition TDP seems clueless as the party chief Chandrababu Naidu is still trying to get his act together. The party has been in disarray ever since Naidu went to jail in the multi-crore skill development corporation scam case. He’s out on bail and has been attempting to renew the party’s strength in the state.
Launching a scathing attack on Naidu, the YSRCP leader Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy said that the party’s reaction and support following the arrest has made the TDP chief realised that the party can move forward only with the support of Pawan Kalyan-led Jana Sena Party (JSP).
Addressing media persons here on Wednesday, Sajjala said that TDP is now banking on the Kapu community vote to propel them back to power. He said that the opposition party is in tatters and the yellow media is trying its best to portray it as a strong contender in the assembly polls. Naidu and his ilk are daydreaming of returning to power in the state, the YSRCP leader added.
Noting that Naidu destroyed the state’s economy during his tenure from 2014-19, Sajjala said the incumbent chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy turned around the financial situation while handling the state's economy during the COVID-19 pandemic reasonably well.
అధినేత మాట కాదని… pic.twitter.com/0Al0LFKMY7

He also said that the YSRCP is aiming for a clean sweep in the upcoming assembly elections, targeting to win all 175 seats. The opposition leader Naidu is waiting for the chief minister YS Jagan to make mistakes so he can do “petty politics" to gain traction. It’s not clear if the TDP has enough candidates to field them in the elections, Sajjala concluded.
