Chandrababu Naidu may not deliver on promises

Former Minister Kakani Govardhan Reddy lambasted Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu for indirectly admitting his inability to fulfill poll promises in his recent meeting with collectors and SPs and said the meeting ended without addressing crucial issues and without any substantive discussion on the implementation of election promises and the selection of beneficiaries.

Speaking to media at his camp office in Nellore here on Tuesday, the former minister slammed Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu stating that despite earlier claiming he would increase revenue to meet these promises, he failed to provide any direction during the collectors' conference. “Additionally, he instructed collectors to create vision documents and focus on wealth creation. However, it is unclear what kind of wealth creation district collectors can focus on and what vision documents they can prepare with a budget of Rs. 5 crore” the former minister added.

He highlighted the contradictions in Naidu's governance, pointing out the lack of free sand in his free sand scheme and the exploitation by Telugu Desam Party members. He emphasized that Chief Minister Naidu has consistently blamed previous government debts for his failures, despite making grand super six promises while aware of the financial situation.

"Chandrababu's statements on political governance imply that MLAs' words are to be treated as scripture, leading to looting and corruption. His approach is shameful and deceptive," said the former minister. He also criticized the delays in delivering Vidya Kanuka kits to schools and Naidu's call for privatization in education and healthcare.

The former minister contrasted CM Naidu's governance with that of YSRCP Chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, who focused on transparent and equitable implementation of promises. He expressed his commitment to holding the government accountable and ensuring that any destructive actions by TDP members are rectified at their expense.
