New Delhi: Amid speculations by the yellow media affiliated with the opposition party that the Railway Board Chairman denied the railway zone at Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav on Wednesday clarified that the Central government is committed to setting up the railway zone in Visakhapatnam.

He also stated that there was enough land available for the railway zone at Vizag.

Earlier in the day, YSRCP Rajya Sabha MP V Vijayasai Reddy also rubbished the false reports by the Yellow Media. He said that some news channels are spreading false news against the YSRCP government and made it clear that a railway zone would be established in Vizag at any cost.

He also reiterated that he would resign from the post of Rajya Sabha MP if the railway zone is not set up in Visakhapatnam.
