Buzz: Why Pawan Didn’t Respond to Attack Against Dalit Woman Rayapati Aruna?

 - Sakshi Post

Pawan Kalyan, the leader of the Jana Sena Party, is facing criticism for remaining tight lipped after the recent assault on Rayapati Aruna, a Dalit woman and member of his party. The incident occurred on March 11, 2024, and Aruna suffered internal injuries despite managing to escape the assault.

Aruna in a media interaction shed light about the premeditated attack on her, emphasizing that it was all a part of a planned scheme. She was assaulted by Jana Sena's Chanapathi Ram Babu and some individuals linked to Shaik Riyaz. Babu punched her in the chest before she lost her consciousness and was rushed to a local hospital. After receiving medical attention, Aruna fortunately recovered from her injuries.

Aruna shared about the internal turmoil within the Jana Sena Party especially her rivalry with Riyaz who publicly insulted her. She then disclosed about informing party leaders Hari Prasad and Ajay Kumar about the incident who conveyed the message to Pawan Kalyan. Based on her conversation with senior party leaders, Aruna confirmed filing a complaint and considering legal action against the perpetrators. Even though there were problems in the party, she concluded the interaction believing that Pawan would help her.

However, Aruna's optimism about receiving support from Pawan Kalyan, given his position as the leader of the Jana Sena Party, was met with disappointment as he chose not to address or condemn the attack publicly. He has chosen to remain silent about the incident and his lack of response has come under scrutiny. It has been over 24 hours that Aruna shared the details about the incident on media but there is no action yet from Jana Sena Party.

Pawan Kalyan's lack of response raises questions about his commitment to standing up for marginalized communities who face multiple forms of discrimination and violence. His silence raises questions about his stance on standing up for those who are vulnerable and oppressed within society.
