Vijayawada: TDP national general secretary Nara Lokesh is facing backlash for making threatening comments against the investigation officers in the Inner Ring Road (IRR) scam case. The special ACB court has issued notices to Lokesh after hearing the plea moved by AP CID plea in connection with the IRR scam case.

The CID had filed a plea in the court seeking directions to arrest the TDP leader in the IRR case. Lokesh is an accused in this case and the CID had issued 41A CrPC notice to him. The CID argued that the TDP leader was violating the terms of Section 41A by speaking to media persons and threatening the investigators and other witnesses in the case. The court posted the matter for next hearing on January 9 next year.

The CID officials went to Lokesh’s residence at Tadepalli Karakatta on Thursday evening. It is said the TDP leader was present in the house but did not come out to receive the notices. The officials were kept waiting by the staff of Lokesh and later they asked the officials to come back on Friday morning. The TDP leader will be served notices today.
