APPSC Plans To Remove Prelims For Group 2, 3 And Other Posts
The Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission is planning to make changes in the examination procedure for the posts other than Group-1. APPSC is sketching out strategies to remove prelims for other exams. Prelims/screening test will be conducted for Group-1 and other posts. Those who have qualified in the prelims will be eligible to write mains. Now, APPSC is planning to remove prelims for Group-2, 3 and other posts. It is said that only one exam will be conducted and the selection process will be based on merit.
Earlier, Group-1 posts only had prelims and mains. There is only one exam for Group-2 and Group-3. In 2014, after TDP coming into power, orders have been issued to conduct Prelims/Screening tests for all the posts.
On June 16th, APPSC released a notification stating that Group-1 interviews scheduled to be held from 17th June to 9th July are postponed for a period of four weeks in the light of directions and instructions issued by the Honourable AP High Court. The revised interview dates will be announced later.
