CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy made a heart-touching speech during the disbursement of the YSR Asara Scheme in Uravakonda. He stressed that women's empowerment is his government's priority. He also hit out at the opposition parties. CM Jagan said the people of Andhra Pradesh state are his party's star campaigners whereas TDP's Chandrababu Naidu is banking on Pawan Kalyan from the Jana Sena party.

"The Opposition's agenda is to tie the flags together (stitch alliances). But your Jagan's agenda is to build a temple in the people's hearts with good governance. You people, the people of Andhra Pradesh are my star campaigners! I don’t need anyone else," said CM Jagan while disbursing Rs 6394 crores as part of the fourth trance of the YSR Asara scheme.

"We have prioritised women empowerment in our government. In the last 56 months, 79 lakh Dwacra sisters were given ₹25,571 crores for loan repayment. We are ensuring that funds for welfare schemes go directly to the women in the household.  If women are empowered, the state will progress across sectors," said Jagan Mohan Reddy.
