AP: Heavy Rain Plays Spoilsport at TDP’s Mahanadu in Rajamahendravaram

Rajamahendravaram: The second and final day of Telugu Desam Party’s (TDP) Mahanadu ruined as heavy rains lashed Rajamahendravaram on Sunday.

Strong winds tore the huge flexis and tossed the banners in the air which were put up by the party workers for the two-day Mahanadu at Vemagiri on the outskirts of the city.

The party workers were seen running for cover as the rainfall was accompanied by gusty winds as it was risky for them to sit next to huge banners and flexis.

On Saturday, the TDP follower Aaku Venkateswara Rao created a huge scene at the Mahanadu venue. He abused the TDP national general secretary Lokesh for using him and later ditching him where they thought his services were no longer useful for them.

Venkateswara also claimed that the TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu and Atchannaidu ruined his life and therefore he does not want other followers to go through the same. He entered the Mahanadu venue and started shouting at Nara Lokesh. He not only abused Naidu’s son but also caused disruption to the party’s brainstorming session.

Amid fears of economic fallout and a broader trade war with multiple countries, American President Donald Trump on Thursday postponed 25% tariffs on many imports from Mexico and some parts from Canada for a month. Even though the White House insists that the tariffs imposed are to stop the smuggling of fentanyl, Trump's tax proposal has wounded the decades-long partnership between America and its allies - Mexico and Canada.
