AP Govt to Felicitate Village Volunteers On Ugadi Day 2021
The Government will felicitate more than 2,22,900 volunteers under three categories on Ugadi day
Seva Mitra ,Seva Ratna and Seva Vajra awards
AMARAVATI: Recognising the efforts and services rendered by the Village and Ward Volunteers, the Andhra Pradesh State Government has decided to felicitate them on Ugadi Day 2021. This was announced by Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy during a review meeting on housing and infrastructure development on Wednesday, where he directed officials to felicitate them on April 13.
As part of this, the Government will felicitate more than 2,22,900 volunteers under three categories:
1. 2,18,115 volunteers will be presented with the Seva Mitra awards
2. 4,000 volunteers with Seva Ratna awards (5 each from mandal and municipality and 10 each from the municipal corporation)
3. 875 volunteers with Seva Vajra awards (five each from an Assembly constituency)
The Government will award Rs 10,000 cash to each Seva Mitra, Rs 20,000 to Seva Ratnas winners and Rs 30,000 for the Seva Vajras, along with a shawl, certificate of appreciation and a badge for their efforts.
Volunteers will be selected based on the efficiency shown during the distribution of pensions, rice card, rations essentials, health cards. The Government will also consider the services rendered by the volunteers during the time of natural disasters.
