AP Govt Announces Ex-gratia Of Rs 50 Lakh To Kin Of Martyred Soldier

AMARAVATI: Andhra Pradesh Government has announced Rs 50 lakh to the family of Hawaldar Ch. Praveen Kumar Reddy, who laid down his life bravely fighting at the Line of Control (LoC) in Kupwara encounter.

In a letter addressing to the wife of the martyred soldier, Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy said that the entire nation is proud of the bravery of Hawaldar Praveen Kumar, where his sacrifice is priceless and his loss cannot be filled. The Chief Minister said that the state stands with the family at this hour. As a token of honour Rs 50 lakh has been released from Chief Minister's Relief Fund. The Chief Minister offered his heartfelt condolences to members of the bereaved family and prayed to God to give strength for the family to overcome the grief.

Deputy Chief Minister K Narayana Swamy, Minister Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy, MP Reddeppa, MLA MS Babu visited the  family and gave the cheque along with the Chief Minister's letter and consoled the family members

Ch. Praveen Kumar Reddy, hails from Reddivaripalle in Irala mandal of Chittoor district and joined the Indian Army 18 years ago in Madras Regiment-18, made supreme sacrifice while guarding the borders of the country in Machil sector of Jammu and Kashmir.
