AP Elections 2024: Kammas seats highest in TDP candidates list
Amaravati: Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and Jana Sena Party (JSP) released their first joint list of candidates for the forthcoming elections to the 175-member Andhra Pradesh Assembly.
On this occasion, Chandrababu Naidu also announced the first list of 94 candidates of TDP. In the 175-member Assembly constituencies, the opposition TDP has allotted 20 seats to Kamma community, so far the highest number of seats allocation for the community in the key opposition party.
The TDP has decided to contest 151 seats in the upcoming polls. The party is yet to declare its candidates for 57 seats. As per the first list, 23 candidates are contesting the elections for the first time on a TDP ticket.
Among the 94 seats announced by the TDP, women candidates will be contesting elections on MLA 13 seats. The party has allotted 17 seats to Reddy community, 18 seats have been given to BCs, 20 seats to SCs, 3 seats to STs, 4 seats for Kshatriya community, 2 for Vysya community, one each for Minorities, Velama and Balija communities.
