AP CM YS Jagan Conveys Condolences To K Rosaiah’s Son On Phone - Sakshi Post

AMARAVATI: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister spoke to Konijeti Rosaiah's son K Shiva Subba Rao, and expressed his condolences to him and family members. He said that Rosaiah’s life was exemplary and worth emulating. The senior Congress leader died at a private hospital in Hyderabad at the age of 88 years.

K Rosaiah was the chief minister of undivided Andhra Pradesh and he had also served as governor of Tamil Nadu.  Rosaiah who was the finance minister was sworn in as the interim chief minister of Andhra Pradesh after the sudden demise of Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy who died in a helicopter crash in 2009. He served as till November 25, 2010, and resigned. He later and became Tamil Nadu Governor in August 2011.

The Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh said that Rosaiah rendered yeoman services as a legislator, minister, parliamentarian in his long political career. His death was a deep loss to the two Telugu states, he stated in the aTwitter message.

Andhra Pradesh Governor Biswabhusan Harichandan, also expressed profound grief over the demise of Konijeti Rosaiah, “I pray for rest to his soul and offer my heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family members,” the Governor said in a message.

K Rosaiah's funeral on Sunday

As per Rosaiah’s son's statement, the leader’s body will be kept at Gandhi Bhavan on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. From there they will take his remains to their farmhouse at Devarayanjal in Medchal district where his last rites will be performed. The Telangana government will conduct Rosaiah's funeral with State honours. Collectors of Ranga Reddy and Hyderabad have already made arrangements to this effect. The AP government along with the Telangana government has declared three-day mourning as a mark of respect for the leader.
