AP Budget Sessions: Andhra Pradesh Minister for Education Botsa Satyanarayana on Wednesday said that 5000 schools were closed during Chandrababu Naidu's TDP regime, while Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy gave life and revived government schools in the state.

Speaking during the question and answer session on the second day of the AP Assembly Budget Sessions, he said, "Not a single school has been closed during our regime. They should tell us in which places were schools closed," he challenged the Opposition. They should come out and tell us in the Assembly as to where they were closed, he stated. This was in response to a question by TDP MLA Yeluri Sambasiva Rao on the state of schools in the State.

The Education Minister informed the Assembly that the Chief Minister was conducting review meetings twice a month with the Education department officials and that the CM was striving for the development of education in the state, he clarified.
