AP Assembly Budget Session From Today

Ahe budget session will begin today in the Andhra Pradesh Assembly. The session will be the occasion for Governor S. Abdul Nazeer to address a joint session of the Legislative Assembly and Legislative Council. A Business Advisory Committee (BAC) meeting will be held later in the day.
The Governor is going to discuss the budget meetings, legislative agenda and the duration of the meetings to be held.
The AP budget meetings will be held today starting at 10 AM. Finance Minister Buggana Rajendranath Reddy will be presenting the interim budget for the year 2024-2025 in the Assembly on the 7th of this month. It will be for the first three months of the present fiscal -- April 1 to June 30. The election schedule is likely to be announced later this month.
Vote on Account: The approval for employees' salaries, pensions, ongoing schemes and programs from April to June will be finalized through a vote-on-the-account budget. The cabinet meeting will be held at the secretariat under the chairmanship of Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy at 8 AM on the 7th of this month i.e. Wednesday.
