Andhra Pradesh: 2-year-old Child, Mother Killed in Road Accident in Kurnool

Kurnool: A woman and her toddler died after the bike she was riding pillion met with an accident in Banaganapalle Rural area of Kurnool district on Tuesday. Manohar was riding a bike while his wife Lakshmi was sitting on the pillion with their 2-year-old daughter Manasa.

The incident occurred on Banaganapalle – Pyapili road when a RTC bus which was heading to Gooty hit the bike. Manohar received minor injuries while his wife and daughter died on the spot. The couple were going to Banaganapalle to visit Lakshmi’s parents. 

The police team led by SI Rami Reddy rushed to the spot after locals alerted the police about the accident. The police enquired the details and shifted the bodies for post-mortem. The victim’s family members staged a dharna outside the police station and demanded them to hand over the accused bus driver to them. They left the place only after police officials spoke to them and assured them that they would ensure justice for them.
