Andhra Govt Allows Rs 50 Hike on Ticket Prices for Adipurush
Amaravati: Prabhas and Kriti Sanon-starrer ‘Adipurush’ is scheduled for theatrical release on 16 June 2023. Ahead of its grand release, the government of Andhra Pradesh has permitted the makers of this Ramayana-based mythological drama to increase the rate of movie tickets by Rs. 50 across the theatres in the state. The film ‘Adipurush’ is a super budget movie which was made on a massive budget of Rs 500 crore.
In its memo, the state’s Home Department said the decision has been taken after examining the recommendation of the requests. It also said the permission to increase the specified amount per ticket over and above the movie ticket will be valid for a period of 10 days from the date of first release of the film ‘Adipurush’.
Earlier, the Telangana government had issued an order to allow the management of the movie theatres to enhance the ticket price by Rs 50 over and above the actual ticket cost. The order will be valid for three days starting June 16. The government has also permitted an early morning screening of the movie on June 16.
Adipurush is a mythological drama based on the epic Ramayana. The movie is written and directed by Om Raut. The film is being released in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Malayalam and Kannada.
