Andhra : Five Dead, Several Injured After Car Collides with Van in Konaseema 

Konaseema dist: At least five people were killed and 10 others sustained serious injuries in a tragic road accident in Konaseema district of Andhra Pradesh on Saturday. 

The incident occurred on the national highway near Madiki village in Alamuru mandal in the early morning when a car carrying five persons collided with a van with 10 passengers onboard. The van was ferrying people from Anakapalli district to various temples in Konaseema district. 

The injured were shifted to the government hospital in Eluru. The deceased persons were identified as Kannaiah Lingam, Srinu, Venki Naidu and Venkata Ramana of Anakapalli district while Subramaniam was a native of West Godavari district.
