Amaravati Assigned Lands Case: AP High Court Adjourns Hearing till Nov 22
Amaravati: Andhra Pradesh High Court on Friday adjourned the hearing on the pleas moved by AP Crime Investigation Department (CID) praying to reopen the hearing in the quash petitions related to the Amaravati Assigned lands scam case to November 22.
The state CID has mentioned the names of former chief minister Chandrababu Naidu and former minister P Narayana in the case. The probe agency had requested the high court to reopen the quash petition hearing and take new evidence into consideration.
The CID had registered a case in 2021 following a complaint by YSRCP MLA Alla Ramakrsihna Reddy who had accused Naidu and Narayana in the case. So far, five people have been arrested in the Amaravati Assigned lands scam.
The accused persons Kolli Sivaram, Gattem Venkatesh, Chikkala Vijayasaradhi, Bade Anjaneyulu, and Kotti Dorababu are facing allegations of irregularities over the purchase of 1,100 acres of assigned land in Amaravati Capital Region. Kolli Sivaram is said to be a close aide of P Narayana and TDP MLC Nara Lokesh.
