All Surveys to be Stopped from Today!

Vijayawada: The next stage of the election process in Andhra Pradesh will commence on Thursday. The Election Commission of India will issue notification for the Andhra Pradesh Assembly polls and it will be published in the gazette at 9 am tomorrow. The nomination filing process for candidates will also open on the same day.

Similarly, the nomination process for the fourth phase of Lok Sabha elections across multiple states including Andhra Pradesh and Telangana will also begin on Thursday. During the fourth phase, polling will be held across 96 Lok Sabha constituencies in 10 states including Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

Nomination papers will be accepted from tomorrow. April 25 will be the last date for filing nominations, scrutiny of nominations will be taken up on April 26 while the last date for withdrawal of candidature will be April 29. Polling in the Telugu state will be held on May 13 while the counting of votes will be taken up on June 4.

The announcement of the nomination process tomorrow would pause all pre-election opinion polls and surveys. During this period, the polling survey agencies cannot release any type of pre-poll, opinion poll or exit poll surveys. However, they can release the exit polls only after the completion of the seventh and last phase of polling on June 1, 2024.
