Actor Nagarjuna Inaugurates Remodeled Erskine Square at Andhra Varsity
Visakhapatnam: Popular Telugu actor Akkineni Nagarjuna inaugurated the remodeled ‘Erskine Square’ at Andhra University in Visakhapatnam. The ‘Erskine Square’ has been rechristened as KV Gopalaswamy Amphitheatre. Film actor Akkineni Akhil accompanied his father during the inauguration ceremony attended by the staff and students of the university.
Speaking on the occasion, Nagarjuna said he felt privileged to inaugurate the historical amphitheatre as the film stalwarts like NT Rama Rao, Akkineni Nageswara Rao and others graced this arena. He said he would shoot his films at the venue in future.
Yarlagadaa Lakshmi Prasad of AU Hindi department thanked the actor for accepting their invitation and inaugurating the theatre. He said yesteryear veteran actor Nageswara Rao was a great philanthropist too who had donated Rs lakh funds to Gudivada college and Rs 25,000 to the Andhra University.
