AP Elections 2024: Times Now - Matrize NC Survey Predicts YSRCP’s Thumping Victory

YSRCP's Victory in 2024 Lok Sabha Polls: After favouring the ruling YSRCP in the ensuing Assembly elections, the pre-poll surveys are now predicting that the YS Jagan Mohan Reddy-led party will win a majority of seats in the simultaneous 2024 Lok Sabha elections in Andhra Pradesh in the coming weeks.

According to the latest Times Now-Matrize NC Survey, the ruling YSRCP is poised to win 19 out of 25 Lok Sabha seats in the forthcoming General elections in the state followed by TDP-Jana Sena combine with 6 seats.

When we compare the latest survey results with the performance of Andhra Pradesh parties in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, the YSRCP had won 22 seats, while the TDP managed to gain only three seats.

It is evident that the BJP has no political presence in Andhra Pradesh but Congress has infused fresh blood and made Sharmila as the state Congress chief to make a dent into the vote share. However, if the pollsters are to be believed, things may not seem to be working for the grand old party. The pre-poll survey has predicted zero seats for both the national parties — BJP and Congress in the Lok Sabha elections in the state.

When we look at the vote share statistics, the YSRCP will likely gain over 47 per cent of votes and the TDP-Jana Sena alliance is expected to secure over 44 per cent vote share. The pollster has also attempted to understand the voters impression about the incumbent chief minister. The opinion poll agency found that 38 percent of people of the state are extremely satisfied with Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy while 26 percent said they were "somewhat satisfied" and the remaining 34 percent of people surveyed indicated they were extremely dissatisfied.
