AP To Move Supreme Court Over CBN's Bail
Andhra Pradesh state government is all set to knock on the doors of the Supreme Court over Chandrababu Naidu's bail granted by the AP High Court in the Skill Development Scam case. AP CID is also mulling to file a Special Leave Petition in the Apex court as it seeks probe and judicial remand of Naidu in connection with the Rs 371 Crore Skill Development Scam case. As per the CID, Chandrababu has not cooperated in its investigation and hasn't answered the questions it posed him.
On Monday, the single-judge Bench of the AP High Court made 'absolute' the interim bail granted to Naidu on October 31 on medical grounds. Chandrababu was arrested on 9th September in Nandyal. He was sent to the Rajahmundry Central Prison for judicial remand. Naidu stayed for 53 days as Khaidi No 7691 in the prison.
AP state government is reportedly not satisfied with the High Court and hence decided to move the Supreme Court. More details are awaited.
