A Cat Died And Everybody Is Talking About It: Find Out Why   

Hyderabad: Internet's most-loved cat, the grouchy-faced Grumpy Cat has died at the age of seven. Grumpy Cat was the face of many memes and has been a viral sensation.

"We are unimaginably heartbroken to announce the loss of our beloved Grumpy Cat," Tabatha Bundesen, Grumpy Cat's owner, wrote. With a picture of the cat, they captioned it saying, "Some days are more grumpier than others."

Grumpy Cat's real name is Tardar Sauce. She suffered from feline dwarfism, which could probably be the reason for his distinctive facial features and small size, her owners said.

Grumpy Cat became a viral face in September 2012, when one of her owners posted a photo with her disgruntled look on Reddit. The photo went viral with countless photoshopped variations flowing in.

When the Bundesan family posted her video clips on Youtube, it had hit a million views.

Not just a pet, she became a cultural phenomenon with many merchandises sold on her name. It includes, projects, perfumes, merchandise, Skechers shoes, comics and even a "Grumppuccino" coffee.

Grumpy Cat also appeared on several TV shows.

The official Twitter handle is a verified site with 1.5 million followers, and she has 2.4 million followers on Instagram and 8.5 million of Facebook.
