1. Y Sujana Fails To Appear Before CBI

Former Union Minister and TDP Rajya Sabha MP Sujana Chowdary failed to appear before the CBI in response to summons issued by the agency.  He is probed for allegedly cheating Andhra Bank to the extent of Rs 71 crore.

2. ‘Mistakes In Inter Results’ : TS Edu Secy

Telangana Education Secretary G. Janardhan Reddy accepted that there were mistakes in the conduct of Intermediate exams and the subsequent declaration of results. However, he attributed the mistakes mainly to software issues.

3. Another TS Student Commits Suicide

The Telangana government has began from Saturday re-evaluation for all the students who have failed in the inter examinations. Another student in Narayanpet district has killed herself allegedly depressed over failing in the exams. The death toll has now risen to 19.

4. K. Sarveswara Rao Killer Arrested

The Maoist who killed Araku MLA Kidari Sarveswara Rao was arrested by Koraput police in Odisha and handed over to NIA. Rao along with former TDP MLA Siveri Soma were shot dead by Naxals last September.

5. Cracks in Polavaram Project Site

Panic gripped villagers of Ramaiahpeta village in West Godavari district after cracks developed on a construction site of the state government’s Polavaram project. The cracks developed due to a heap of stones according to preliminary reports.

6. TDP Leader Detained In Airport

-TDP leader Kasibhatla Sainath Sarma was detained at Renigunta airport for carrying 20 bullets. He was bound for Hyderabad and his bullets were detected during scanning.

7. SUV Rams Woman on Road

A speeding SUV which carried the lead team of the upcoming film ‘Nuvvu Thopu Raa’ killed a woman in a road mishap. The incident happened on National Highway in Athmakur in Guntur district. The lead actors, director were headed for a promotional event in the car.

8. 15 Pubs Closed In Jubilee Hills

The officials of Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation have closed down 15 pubs in Jubilee Hills in connection to the violations which includes situated in unauthorized structures, fire clearances, and lack of parking. The list includes Heart Cup Cafe, United Kitchens of India, Prost Brewpub, Chemistry, Celebrations, Karma, among others.

9. Drug Dealer Arrested

Hyderabad police seized 20 grams of cocaine and 9 MDMA pills and busted a drug racket with the arrest of a Nigerian national from his residence in Banjara Hills. Police said he purchased cocoine from Goa at a much cheaper price and sold it in Hyderabad at exorbitant rates.

10. Minor Dumped in Well In TS

The body of a 14-year old missing girl was found in a 50-feet deep well in Bommalaramaram village in Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district of Telangana. Police suspect that she was gang-raped before being dumped in the well.

11. ‘Maharshi’ Big Plans On Promotion

-Superstar Mahesh Babu's upcoming film Maharshi is planning to go big on promotions. The filmmakers will promote the film by splashing posters across four trains which run across Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
