Railway Employee Mowed Down By Geetanjali College Bus

A 42-year-old railway employee Sri Latha, was run over by a speeding college bus on Saturday morning in Mettuguda.

Sri Latha, 42, was hit and run over by a Geetanjali College bus while she was crossing the road, said the police. Gopalapuram police have booked a case and have started investigations.

“Nagesh, The bus driver, was said to be driving in a rash and negligent manner while on his way to the college on Saturday morning, resulting in the tragic incident,” said Gopalapuram sub-inspector, G. Yugandhar Reddy, adding that the driver was taken into police custody shortly after the mishap.

Latha’s husband Mahesh registered a complaint, and a case was booked under Section 304-A (death by negligence) of IPC and the body was shifted for post-mortem.
