The re-exams will be conducted for BSc students in Zoology, Botany, Physics and Mathematics. All the students except those who were booked for malpractices can attend the exam with the same hall ticket issued earlier at the same center. They have also been asked not to pay any examination fees for re-exams.
Meanwhile, the probe into the fire accident is still underway. The blaze broke out in the wee hours of June 5. Based on a primary investigation by the fire department, the reason for the fire was said to be a spark from an electric meter box which was kept in the examination department. All the answer papers of BSc of affiliated and constituent colleges were burnt in the incident.
Following the incident, the OU administration has been suggested to take security measures to prevent such mishaps. However, the administration has said that it is planning to switch over to online mode of evaluation process.
