Will Priyanka Lose Salman’s Bharat Over Quantico Controversy?

Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra has become an international celebrity with American TV series Quantico. The first season of Quantico had received rave reviews from audiences and critics. Quantico Season-2 failed to impress the audiences and the show started getting low TRPs in foreign countries too. Reports have suggested after seeing the response to Quantico Season-2, the makers have confirmed that there will no Season-3.

Over the past four years, Priyanka Chopra hadn't signed any Bollywood film. Recently, Peecee was roped in to play the leading lady in a film titled Bharat opposite Salman Khan. Yesterday, Several groups have slammed Chopra for an objectionable episode in Quantico. Later, PeeCee apologised for her remarks which were made on the show. Take a look at her tweet: "I'm extremely saddened and sorry that some sentiments have been hurt by a recent episode of Quantico. That was not and would never be my intention. I sincerely apologize. I'm a proud Indian and that will never change," Priyanka Chopra, 35, tweeted. Chopra got trolled for hurting people's sentiments here.

What is the Quantico PC Controversy all about?

One of the episodes titled The Blood of Romeo, Indians are shown as terrorists. In the episode, Priyanka's character, FBI agent Alex Parish, foils a terror plot a few days ahead of India-Pakistan summit. During her probe, she stumbles upon Rudraksh chain (a religious Hindu symbol) on one one of the suspects. This leads her to conclude that the terror attack was plotted by some Indians to put Pakistan in a soup. Soon, the PeeCee drew flak from fans and trolled on Twitter.

Rumors are now rife that Priyanka Chopra may not play the female lead in Bharat. Will Salman Khan and Ali Abbas Zafar decision remain the same after this controversy? Will Priyanka Chopra still remain the leading lady for Bharat? Will she be part of Bharat at all or Will the maker of the movie remove her from the film? Time alone will tell.

If the filmmakers of Bharat decide to drop Priyanka, then her role might go to Katrina Kaif, it is being said. It is too early to draw a definitive conclusion, but let's keep our fingers crossed.

On the career front, Salman Khan is awaiting the release of Race 3 while Katrina is busy with the shoot of Size Zero which also stars Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma.
