MET Forecast For Monsoon in Telangana, AP
The low pressure situation forming over Bay of Bengal has gradually weakened after crossing on to land at Peni in Bangaladesh. With this, in the next 24 hours there could be rains accompanied by severe thunderstorms along coastal Andhra Pradesh and along coasts of Jharkand and Tamil Nadu according to a statement given by the Indian meteorological department. Winds with a speed of 45-50 kilometres per hour would be blowing off the coast and fishermen should not venture into “deep” parts of Bay of Bengal for fishing, the statement said.
On the other hand, the southwest monsoon is quickly moving across the two Telugu states. It has already spread over southern Bay of Bengal and partially spread across Maharashtra and Odisha states.
