For people who regularly ply by the roads of Ramanthapur, a colorful bus stop is bound to attract their eyes. Until yesterday, the bus shelter which appeared messy with posters and banners hanging around got a total makeover, thanks to a bunch of young volunteers from an NGO “We can make a change” who made it possible.

A group of twenty five volunteers have toiled to restore the bus stop wall and given it a new shape. Messages like keeping the surroundings clean, sensitizing children on cleanliness are painted on the wall making it clear that the initiative was not only aimed at painting the bus stop but also to spread awareness among the people about keeping their premises clean.

The NGO usually carries out similar works in rural areas, Ramanthapur Bus shelter being their first urban site. With immense support pouring in they plan to take up such activities in other urban dwellings as well.
