Sunil Chhetri is the captain of the Indian Football team. Frankly, it’s a little heartbreaking that he has to come out and make this appeal. Shows how we as a nation have neglected our sportsmen. #LetsWatchFootball — Nupur (@UnSubtleDesi) June 3, 2018 Abuse us, yell at us, criticize us... but please get involved . Come watch Indian Football in the stadium. Sunil Chhetri impassioned plea to sports lovers. — kasturi shankar (@KasthuriShankar) June 2, 2018 To all supporters of foreign football leagues. Support your national team. Please @chetrisunil11 we're proud of your accomplishments. — Caralisa Monteiro (@runcaralisarun) June 2, 2018 Sunil Chhetri: I'm extremely happy when I score, I don't take it for granted. I'm fortunate enough to play for club and country. I'm very, very happy from inside, it's just that I'm 40 and I don't celebrate outrageously like Robin Singh. #IndianFootball #INDvTPE — Manasi Pathak (@ThatUnitedLady) June 1, 2018 Today is Sunil Chhetri day. — Indranil Das Blah (@indranildasblah) June 4, 2018 The more I listen to Sunil Chhetri the more I get gulp in throat ...he says we play for you .. please come watch us — pallavi ghosh (@_pallavighosh) June 4, 2018 Great to see several known personalities from various fields coming out in support of Sunil Chhetri's video. However, if they themselves don't turn up at the stadium, it accounts to nothing. — Manasi Pathak (@ThatUnitedLady) June 3, 2018 Come on India, rally behind our skipper Sunil Chhetri and the rest of the boys. Go show your support at the Andheri Sports complex as they play the Intercontinental cup. #BackTheBlue #AsianDream https://t.co/s9bKdWt1CN — Hansika (@ihansika) June 4, 2018 Sunil Chhetri's 100th international match. He is the only second @IndianFootball player to reach this landmark. — Shaji Prabhakaran (@Shaji4Football) June 4, 2018 Just to clarify, Sunil Chhetri will actually be the first Indian man to a 100 senior international caps. Bhaichung Bhutia has turned out for India 107 times, but 11 were in age-group competitions. Chhetri also has 8 such India matches in addition to 99 full internationals. — Debayan Sen (@debayansen) June 3, 2018 Sunil Chhetri: We have the desire to move up the ranks. I don't take rankings seriously because of the way it works. One agenda is to play well and try to win. To reach under 100 was difficult but to stay there is very, very difficult. #IndianFootball #HeroIntercontinentalCup — Manasi Pathak (@ThatUnitedLady) June 3, 2018

More than one goal every two games.
Humble, hardworking, sincere.
A role model for all of us.
See you at the game tonight, Champ.
Dear fans, don't let @chetrisunil11 down by not being in the stadium.
Being loyal to foreign clubs doesn't mean ignore national team.
A massive congratulations Sunil.
